1. Choose a Quiet, Private Space
   • Make sure it’s well-lit (especially for video calls).
   • Avoid background noise and interruptions.
2. Check Your Technology
   • For video: Test your camera, microphone, and internet connection.
   • For phone: Ensure your phone is charged and has good reception.
   • If using a platform like WhatsApp or Discovery Connected Care, make sure it’s installed and working 
3. Have Your Information Ready
   • ID or medical aid details (if applicable).
   • List of current medications and dosages.
   • Medical history relevant to your concern.
   • Symptoms: When they started, how they’ve changed, and any triggers.
4. Prepare Questions or Concerns
   • Write down anything you want to ask or clarify.
   • Include any recent test results or reports if available

• Be ready to verify your identity.
• Speak clearly and describe your symptoms in detail.
• If on video, be prepared to show physical symptoms (e.g., rashes, swelling).
• Take notes if needed, especially about treatment or follow-up steps.
